Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of getsite.ca and the web design, development, and hosting services provided by GetSite of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada (“GetSite”, “we”, “us”). By requesting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to them.
Quotes and projects
Every project is quoted individually. A quote describes the agreed scope, price, and timeline; work outside that scope is quoted separately before we do it. Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Project timelines (such as our typical 7-day launch) are good-faith estimates and depend on receiving content and feedback from you.
Payment
Build fees are payable as set out in your quote. Unless your quote says otherwise, 50% is due to start the build and 50% when you approve the site for launch. Ongoing hosting and support (the Care Plan) is billed monthly, has no fixed-term contract, and can be cancelled anytime with 30 days’ notice. If hosting is cancelled or unpaid, we will provide a reasonable export of your site content on request before service ends.
Your content and ownership
You keep ownership of the content you give us (text, images, branding), and you confirm you have the right to use it. On full payment, you own your website’s design and content. We may retain and reuse general-purpose code, tooling, and techniques, and we may show your launched website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Hosting and availability
We target 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of hosting, third-party services, or the internet itself. We perform maintenance and updates as part of your monthly plan.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use a site we host for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful. We may suspend hosting for content that creates legal risk, after notifying you where practical.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data beyond our backup obligations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
